Who am I: I am a Biomedical scientist in microbiology who grew up using computers, I had dial up, before dial up I had MS paint and that was it! Now I work with them within my laboratory providing technical support and as IT systems development. I enjoy programming and Graphics generally. I created this website to store projects online and share them with others.

Programming: Generally will dable with any programming language, However Microsoft's Small basic caught my attention many years ago and it has been the backbone of most of my programming understanding and development, starting with a basic language gives a better fundamental understanding of the programming principles in my opinion. I have since become involved in the use of the MUMPS language in my workplace and enjoy writing using this particular language to contribute towards the Telepath laboratory LIMS. I would consider myself an Excel "power user" with experience with most functions and use of macros etc. I contribute to MSDN small basic forum from time to time and get involved with problem solving and the competitions run on a monthly basis, I enjoy rifling through data using programs or creating visual data from raw data. I like novel graph computing and trying to demonstrate data in new ways. I have experience in HTML & CSS however I am yet to use PHP or JAVA in much detail but understand the basic principles.

Graphics: For many years I enjoyed 3D modelling using Autodesk 3DS max, I was capable of creating basic images to reasonably complex scenes and animations, I have used programmed scripts to assist in scene generation. This probably helped push me to learn further programming. I would compete in 3DM3 modelling competitions to help develop my skills. Whilst I do not do much 3D modelling anymore I consider it an extra skill for data modelling. I have created .gif files using 3D models & hand drawn animations. Through use of Adobe PS, Paint.net, GIF construction set & older programs such as Macromedia Freehand Mxa & MS Paint. I enjoy ASCII art and its uses in command line based programs particularly animations etc.
